In Tongobriga we’ve identified a necropolis outside the
city limits near the main road. There were already been found clay
pieces by the end of the 19th century.
Incineration ritual predominates in the burials founded
in Tongobriga. In this necropolis, Romans opened graves in the granite rock with 1.5 metres length, 0.5
metres width and 0.6 metres height were they deposed the body ashes,
some pottery and coins. Then, graves were covered with granite
flagstones.
